I love having a fireplace in our home. It was one of the first things I put on my wishlist when Dale and I started looking for a new place a few years ago - even as renters! Not only is a fire in your fireplace the coziest - decorating the mantle is always fun, especially for Christmas!
There are so many ways to decorate your mantle, and this year I decided to go with bottlebrush trees. So easy, simple and pretty!
I decided on my color palette - I’m drawn to the pinks, whites, and golds (so dreamy!) but also wanted some darker colors to ground it out. I found all the trees at Target! They’re a mix of Threshold, Opalhouse and dollar spot trees!
The green and gold trees are dollar spot finds
I added fairy lights from Michael’s, the package I got was long enough so I could make a few rows. I taped them down (not sure how else they could stay haha!) and put the battery pack on the side of the mantle. You could also get these lights - the strand is just not as long and the lights are a little smaller! Lights make all the difference, don’t you think?
The stocking holders are simple enough - and I’ve also linked similar stockings! The pink striped stocking and the knit stocking on the right were Anthropologie splurges a few years ago - Target has a few knit and faux fur stockings that are similar, so cute, and budget friendly!
And here's a sneak peek of our tree! Not quite done decorating it yet - but I love it. I'm so glad I went with a Flocked Christmas Tree!
I’m so grateful to have a fireplace and mantle to decorate - and I hope it inspires you to add some lights and trees to yours! Happy decorating!
xo, Kristen
